Geordie Johnson comes to the Citadel from the Stratford Festival where he played Brick in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, the dual role of the identical Antipholi twins in Richard Monette's rollicking The Comedy of Errors, and Worthy in The Relapse. In Toronto, Mr. Johnson has played in Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Toward the Somme (with Mr. Hewgill at CentreStage), The Grace of Mary Traverse (Toronto Free Theatre), Count Dracula (the title role at Young People's Theatre), and Hosanna (Title role), Farther West, and I Am Yours for which he received the Dora Mavor Moore Award for Leading Actor (all at the Tarragon Theatre). Other productions include Holiday (Shaw Festival), The Sea (Centaur Theatre), and Cloud Nine (Phoenix Theatre in Toronto). He has appeared on film and television in The Boy in Blue, Street Legal, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Adderly, Chautauqua Girl, and The Campbells.Mr. Johnson will be seen next on the CBC in Stratford's production of The Comedy of Errors.

in Titus Andronicus, Antipholus of Syracuse/Antipholus of Ephesus in The Comedy of Errors, Worthy in The Relapse and Brick in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Last with the Festival in 1980, Mr Johnson was seen in Henry VI. In 1979 he appeared in King Lear and Richard II.
Trained at the University of Calgary, where he received his BFA in acting, Mr Johnson is the recipient of a 1988 Dora Mavor Moore Award for his performance in I Am Yours (Tarragon Theatre). He has worked for numerous Canadian companies including Young People’s Theatre, CentreStage, Tarragon Theatre, Toronto Free Theatre, Shaw Festival, The Phoenix Theatre and Centaur Theatre. His more recent credits include such roles as the title role in Count Dracula Young People’s Theatre);David Craig in Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme CentreStage); the title role in Hosanna and Thomas Shepherd in Farther West (Tarragon Theatre); Hardlong/Jack in The Grace of Mary Traverse (Toronto Free Theatre); Nick Potter in Holiday and Mangini in Tonight We Improvise (Shaw Festival)and Harry/Martin in Cloud 9 (Phoenix).
