An award-winning Canadian actor, Geordie Johnson's career encompasses TV, movie and theatre roles. He has starred in the syndicated series Dracula: the Series,and Largo Winch; appeared in the hit movie, THE ENGLISH PATIENT, the Showtime movie, CHARMS FOR THE EASY LIFE, with Mimi Rogers and Gena Rowlands, and played Franz Liszt in HBO's COMPOSERS' SPECIALS SERIES: Liszt's Rhapsody.

Among his many TV appearances, guest star roles include Street Legal, E.N.G , and eight episodes of the Canadian series Traders. He also appeared in an episode of the hit CBC seriesCanada: A People's History .

Most recently, Geordie has appeared in DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS at Theatre Calgary.

Among Mr Johnson's theatre credits are eight previous seasons at Canada's renown Stratford Festival, playing such diverse characters as Chance Wayne in SWEET BIRD OF YOUTH , Biff in DEATH OF A SALESMAN, Mercutio in ROMEO AND JULIET, Autolycus in THE WINTER'S TALE and Yasha in THE CHERRY ORCHARD. In his most recent full season there, he was Richard in RICHARD II and Mr Darcy in PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. In 2003, due to an injury to another actor, Geordie took over the role of Hector in TROILUS AND CRESSIDA with only 4 days rehearsal time. and In 2004, Geordie appeared in his first musical,GUYS AND DOLLS, as Nathan Detroit.

Other theatre credits include productions at the Shaw Festival and many of Canada's top theatres, as well as portraying Biff in DEATH OF A SALESMAN for Theatr Clwyd in Wales and Petruchio in a London West End production of THE TAMING OF THE SHREW. In early 2002, Geordie and Cynthia Dale appeared in the play SYNCOPATION at the Manitoba Theatre Centre, Winnipeg and the Winter Garden Theatre in Toronto.

In the states, Geordie has appeared in THE RAINMAKER and TRAVESTIES at American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, and A WOMAN OF NO IMPORTANCE at Yale Repertory Theatre.

Twice nominated for theatre's Dora Mavor Moore award for Outstanding Performance (Leading Role), Geordie won in 1988 for his performance in I AM YOURS at the Tarragon Theatre. and he also won a 1997 Stage Door "Johnnie" award as Best Supporting Actor for his role as Biff in DEATH OF A SALESMAN at Stratford.

Geordie also picked up a Gemini in 2000 for Best Performance by an Actor in a Guest Role Dramatic Series for his appearance in The City's episode, Bed Fellows.

Geordie has also directed fellow Stratford actor Lucy Peacock in THE BLONDE, THE BRUNETTE AND THE VENGEFUL REDHEAD in London, Stratford and Vancouver Playhouse.
